Summoning the Right Pit Lord

A majority of the RQs have come and gone, and we’ve yet to see a Pit Lord in the top 8. Admittedly, it is always a great risk to play something original in the big events. Well, we see some unique decks at the top every now and then, but for the most part those decks utilize stable classes: Mage, Druid, Rogue, Shaman, etc.

Playing as a pit lord is a different story.

Yes, you read the title right. I’m declaring this alliance blue deck as the Paladin for the block constructed format. As a red and blue Paladin player in constructed, I am very familiar with the class’ play style, and it’s very comparable to the Team Rampage-made Mythen of the Wild deck. Inspired by the champions (of UAAP Season 2008—go Ateneo!), it’s just great answering anything your opponent throws at you, while building lots of card advantage.

Hi everyone! I’d like to share my recent experience at the Realm Qualifier at X-tended Play last October 4.

I guess a short introduction is in order first. I’m Angelo Carlo Reyes (no, not related to the General) though I go by Anjo or Vijo online. I started playing WOWTCG after getting roped into it by an officemate (who never invested enough to get into it -_-) around the time Fires of Outland came out. I’ve barely any previous TCG experience, just dabbling a bit into Magic. I joined Team Rampage after being invited by JDJ and Mikko (a college friend of mine) back in December.
